The Freak Show - The Albino Girl

A piece for a painting challenge with my friend, themed "The Freak Show".
So much trouble for the bloody process -_-a. Started off with value studies and it was AWESOME! Then when I colored it, it turned super blah. Not satisfied at all with it but I wont spend more time on it.
Move on to the next piece!!!

The value studies which I prefer more than the finished -_-a.

PS. I'm making the whole character designs for this theme :)

Not so quite recent pieces, and the only 2 pieces I could save before the doom of my external hard drive *sobs*.

This one's I did a year back for advanced perspective class, but I repainted almost the whole image 3 months ago to achieve the look I wanted.
The theme is "geisha" and I thought, why not creating a vampiric geisha?
So here it is!

Old pieces...

This one's a project from "Fundamental for Graphic Design" 2 years ago.
We had to come out with a postcard design for a specific event we chose. I chose "Wicked", a theatrical play about the wizards of Oz.
If you wonder why in the world I took that class, that was because I was in Graphic-Illustration department instead of Traditional Illustration.
And dude, I regretted it a a lot, since I had to substitute oil painting classes with this one and 2 others graphic design classes that DID NOT make any use at all -_-a.

And this one, a collab project with my friend, Gloria for a small contest in deviantart, themed "spring". I did the kids and foreground digitally, and Gloria did the background using pastel.
First time exploring painting style using OpenCanvas *which now I don't use at all since that program is not mac OS integrated.*

Actually I had more, but unfortunately most of the files were stored in my external HD and it burnt last semester T_T. Too bad I deleted some stuffs in my DA and hadn't started on my blog until the beginning of this year.

Woo hoo!

Finally got to set up my own art journal, after only following people's. Ok now to start things off, here's couple of head studies, as part of my 1000 head drawings project.
I'll upload more later! :)

the first couple of heads.
line quality is not that great, and I relied on shadows to make the forms.

2nd batch, more line contour and less shading :)
